New Facility Showcases Namibia's Landscapes and Enhances Traveler Experience with World-Class Car Rental Services
Gondwana Collection Namibia has inaugurated a N$15 million headquarters for its Namibia2Go Car Rental service at Hosea Kutako International Airport.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Gondwana Managing Director Gys Joubert said the facility was designed to showcase Namibia’s diverse landscapes and cultural heritage.
“At Gondwana, we often talk about and challenge each other regarding the size of our dreams. What you see here today is the culmination of many dreams and the hard work of many people,” Joubert said. “Dreaming about offering the best car rental service in Namibia is simply not big enough. What you see here today is our dream, as Namibians, to offer the best car rental service in the world.”
Marco Clarijs, Head of Namibia2Go, emphasized the new facility’s integration with Gondwana’s network of lodges and destinations, as well as its 24-hour personalized support for travelers.
“This is the beginning of a bigger and even more beautiful journey,” Clarijs said. “This facility represents our commitment to delivering not just a service, but an experience that inspires and empowers every traveler.”
Construction of the headquarters began in June, following Gondwana’s acquisition of the two erven in the SUNGATE precinct in early 2020.
Namibia2Go operates with a fleet of 278 vehicles across various categories and employs 32 staff members. The company relocated from Bismarck Street to Bassingthwaighte Street, Klein Windhoek, in 2019 to accommodate its growth.
