Bourbon Logistics Secures Landmark Contract for Offshore Operations in Namibia

18 Nov 2024

Integrated logistics support for a major oil and gas exploration campaign highlights Bourbon’s growing influence in Namibia’s energy sector.

Bourbon Logistics has landed a fully integrated logistics contract with an undisclosed oil and gas major to support its exploration and drilling activities in southern Namibia.

The six-month campaign represents a critical step in the client’s operational plans, marking its first foray into an integrated logistics strategy.

For Bourbon Logistics, the agreement builds on its previous successes in Namibia, where it has supported other oil and gas majors. Under the new contract, the company will oversee the planning and execution of all logistics operations for the project.

The operations will leverage Bourbon's proprietary data management system, the Bourbon Logistics Suite software, which allows for end-to-end planning, execution, and monitoring of logistics activities.

As part of the project, Bourbon will deploy three of its Platform Supply Vessels—Bourbon Diamond, Bourbon Ruby, and Bourbon Topaz.

“Bourbon Logistics is mobilized to bring exemplary management of the client’s supply chain, with strict adherence to deadlines and constant attention to the highest safety standards. This new contract confirms Bourbon Logistics’ expertise and recognition by major oil and gas operators to bring increasingly comprehensive services to its clients, in their most ambitious projects,” said Nicolas Chateau, Managing Director of Bourbon Logistics.
